This service is provided for the ECM that,

1. Will not communicate through the OBD port,
2. Has been locked with a handheld tuner you no longer have, or
3. Has been keylocked  by an EFILive programmer.  EFILive will report the error,  Code $0537: Controller is locked with a custom key

There is no simple fix for this unless you have the digital unlock key code.  The ECM/PCM cannot be modified until it is unlocked and reflashed.  We use a non-invasive bench software method to accomplish this.  Your module will not be disassembled.  Ship your module to us, or alternatively drop off locally by appointment.  This ECM service can only be performed with our bench software, not possible in your vehicle.  On rare occasion the module will fail to unlock.  If your module is not serviceable, this charge will be credited toward any hardware or programming service.

Once unlocked, we will optionally flash the ECM with your factory tune after it is unlocked (see drop down menu).  Load “Factory Programming” into the cart before checkout.  Your Duramax VIN will be required in the notes section upon  checkout, or contact us separately.
